School Safety Technology Grant Program

Americans for Children’s Lives and School Safety founder Andrew Pollack and IntraLogic Solutions CEO Lee Mandel have partnered to offer a comprehensive school security technology grant program. Leading this effort will be Andrew Pollack, an outspoken advocate for immediate security improvements for all American Schools and the father of Meadow Pollack, who was killed during the Parkland (FL.) High School shooting in 2018.

The program will provide direct technology and software grants of up to $50,000 as well as provide support to access other sources of funding, including R&D grants from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Additional support and donations will be solicited from partners, vendors and other stakeholders.

The grant program will start with K-12 schools in New York and Florida and give qualified schools struggling to fund and implement state-of the-art-technology the security solutions they need but struggle to afford. Grants will be based on the following criteria:

• Public or private school
• Proximity to critical infrastructure
• The size and configuration of the school (is it attached to other buildings?)
• Approximate Size (Square Footage)
• Total number of students, faculty and staff
• Recent threat assessment
• Existing cameras and other technology
• Existing card access and door locking systems
