Lee Mandel is the dynamic CEO of IntraLogic Solutions LLC, a national leader in security technology solutions for schools and school districts, utility companies, mass transportation authorities, governmental agencies and large business enterprises. The company is headquartered in Massapequa, New York, with offices in Albany and Florida. IntraLogic provides comprehensive security technology services for over 2000 schools and 150 school districts nationally. The company uses its customized software and IP video management technology to provide schools and law enforcement the complete situational awareness they need to rapidly respond to incidents. In 2018, the company began deploying cutting edge video analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Technology that uses facial recognition to detect threats and track individuals in schools when needed. IntraLogic’s internally-developed One-Button Lockdown software can fully integrate a school’s video management system (VMS), cameras, PA system, access control system, electronic door locks, and various other hardware and software technologies into one comprehensive platform, enabling school administrators to fully automate a lockdown process with the push of a button.
Mr. Mandel has developed a four-point school security and student safety plan that he advocates for in the media and presents nationally. His approach for enhancing school security is being embraced by school districts and law enforcement agencies across the nation.
Mr. Mandel is regularly interviewed by local, national and security industry media and speaks at national and international security industry, school safety and law enforcement conferences. He shares cutting-edge information and practices with peers, always with the goal of protecting schools and the public.
Mr. Mandel’s commitment to protecting school children was reinforced after the tragedy which took place at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. In the spring of 2018, he was invited to Parkland, Florida to meet with and speak with parents, school officials and law enforcement about school security. These meetings profoundly impacted him and inspired him to donate security technology to the schools in Parkland, Florida and lead an effort to get other companies to do the same. Annually, the company donates more than 300 free Technical Threat Vulnerability Assessments to schools and offers grant writing support.
The company has been listed a remarkable six times on the Inc. 5,000 list of America’s fastest growing companies. To meet the demand for its services, the company is constructing a state-of-the-art, 17,000 square foot Global Command and Operations Center. The center will open this year and will be the largest on Long Island, monitoring security for businesses, schools and government agencies across the globe.
Mr. Mandel is the recipient of both the Long Island Business News NY ICON and 40 Under 40 Business Leaders Awards. He supports non-profits, including the American Cancer Society, Memorial Sloan Kettering, Erase Racism, Promise of Hope, the Freeport Educational Foundation and the Marty Lyons Foundation. Each year the company gives scholarships to students from local schools.
A resident of Long Island his entire life, Mr. Mandel has been fascinated with technology and started his entrepreneurial endeavors at a young age. He grew up in Merrick, New York and, in 2000, graduated from Hofstra University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Today, he and his wife Nicole live near the company’s headquarters in Massapequa.
